We are two film professionals from Los Angeles and London with combined experience in all aspects of the movie business who have established a service to assist low budget independent filmmakers sell their own film to reputable buyers. Over recent years, we have recognized that there are many very good completed independent projects that simply reach a stumbling block when it comes to distribution and do not achieve the financial returns they deserve. It is for this reason we have created a new business model specifically for the Producer of such films. Our joint experience in sales, production and script development can help the Producer get the exposure the Film needs and move the project forward to the final sale and return on investment.
Maura Ford is veteran of worldwide film distribution with over 25 years of intensive experience working for, and negotiating with, the Independents and Major Studios. Maura has been involved with some of the most innovative production executives and independent producers of the last 20 years. She has seen a myriad of financial schemes come and go, and come again and witnessed some of the underworld of film financing. A Media graduate of Emerson College, Boston. Maura’s love of film led her to Los Angeles where she cut her teeth at The Samuel Goldwyn Company, Lakeshore International and Franchise Pictures. Attending all the major markets, and well known within the international Film community, Maura personally has access to any reputable company in any territory and can get your Film exposed to the appropriate international buyers.
Antony Ford entered the British film industry on leaving school, working on some of the largest films based in the UK at the time. As an Assistant Director, Antony has worked both for major American Productions and British independent films tackling difficult locations, troublesome directors and sensitive stars. Seeking a more in-depth knowledge of development and distribution, Antony became a Producing Fellow at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles and later acted as a Production advisor on non-Union films in the United States. During the latter part of his production career, Antony has been a copywriter and professional screenwriter, specializing in adapting for Producers a variety of optioned source materials including novels, stage plays and historical events.
Antony and Maura’s backgrounds make them particularly empathetic to the difficulties faced by low budget filmmakers and perfect partners to steer Producers in the right direction for maximum return on their film.
